About the role

At Beam, we’re building AI that serves society.

We're a global team of ambitious, hardworking problem solvers, applying fast-moving startup energy to work that makes the world a better place. If you want to apply your talent to the biggest problems society faces, Beam is the place for you.

You’ll be part of a high-performance culture where you'll make a huge impact, rapidly progress your career, and truly enjoy your work.

Over 100,000 frontline workers already use Beam to take notes, provide live interpretation and handle phone calls, so they can focus on the people who need them most. This is just the beginning.

About the role

As Beam scales its product suite (Interpret, Notes, Talk and beyond), clear communication with the people using our products becomes critical to how fast they get value from what we build.

This is a great opportunity to join Beam as our Founding Product Marketing Manager, reporting into the Product GTM Lead to help build out an exciting new function at Beam.

You'll own end-user communications, lifecycle activation and product marketing collateral, playing a pivotal role in shaping how we scale product communications and go-to-market activity from the ground up. You'll help establish the systems, processes and cadence that support Beam's next stage of growth.

A day in the life could look like: a few hours deep in Customer.io (our lifecycle management platform) activating users via dedicated campaigns, then updating external release notes and drafting our fortnightly product newsletter, before turning to a one-pager or deck for another product area. You'll work closely with our Product GTM Lead, meeting with our UK, US and AUS GTM teams to support sales sprints with bespoke product collateral and demos, ensuring that product features and changes are leveraged to the max in customer calls.

You'll be:

  • Owning end-user comms for every product release and change — writing help centre articles, in-app updates, and release notes so users always know what's changed and why it matters to them.

  • Running lifecycle campaigns in Customer.io to drive product adoption, with a particular focus on activating users of our Notes product — this is the largest part of the role.

  • Coordinating campaign scheduling with our fortnightly newsletter cadence, keeping user comms consistent and predictable rather than reactive.

  • Launch bespoke campaigns - in conjunction with our enablement and product teams to leverage comms to highlight features, products for maximum adoption

  • Producing product marketing collateral — owning the creation and upkeep of key one-pagers, decks, and product assets for GTM teams

  • Partnering with the Product GTM Lead on localised content direction and strategy for each of our verticals, while owning the day-to-day execution and output yourself.

  • Helping build the foundations of a brand new function, including laying the groundwork for content to scale by region as our footprint grows.

You are:

  • Experienced in product or lifecycle marketing, with 2+ years in a relevant role, ideally within a SaaS environment. You're confident using email or lifecycle marketing platforms (Customer.io strongly preferred; Mailchimp or HubSpot also considered).

  • Comfortable working closely with Product and Engineering teams, with enough technical understanding to grasp product details and translate them into clear, accessible communications.

  • Proactive and commercially minded, able to assess an existing lifecycle marketing setup, identify opportunities for improvement and take ownership of making them happen.

  • An excellent writer with a strong eye for detail, capable of turning complex product updates and new features into engaging, clear and genuinely useful communications for end users.

  • Confident owning campaigns end to end, from building and launching campaigns in Customer.io through to scheduling, measuring performance and optimising results.

  • Highly organised and dependable, comfortable managing multiple priorities and maintaining a consistent communications cadence in a fast-moving environment.

  • A natural collaborator, confident working cross-functionally with Product, Design, Engineering and Marketing teams to create impactful, high-quality content.

  • Excited by the opportunity to build something from the ground up, joining a newly established function where you'll help shape the processes, workflows and foundations that enable us to scale.
