Occupational Therapist – Adult Social Care

Liquid Personnel is recruiting an experienced Locum Occupational Therapist to join its client’s Adult Social Care service in Wokingham, Berkshire.
This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified and HCPC-registered Occupational Therapist with Adult Social Care experience. The role offers a flexible hybrid working arrangement, combining office-based work, remote working and community visits while supporting adults to maximise their independence, choice and quality of life.
Role Details

Working Pattern: Up to 2 days in the office, with up to 3 days working remotely or undertaking community visits

What will your responsibilities be?
As a Locum Occupational Therapist, you will:

Undertake comprehensive Occupational Therapy assessments to identify individuals’ functional abilities and support needs.
Assess risks and identify appropriate interventions to promote independence and wellbeing.
Recommend suitable equipment, adaptations and support solutions.
Develop person-centred recommendations and contribute to effective care planning.
Work collaboratively with Social Workers, healthcare professionals and wider multidisciplinary teams.
Maintain accurate and timely assessment records and professional reports.
Manage a varied caseload, prioritising referrals according to individual needs and risks.
Support individuals to maintain their independence, choice and quality of life within the community.

Qualifications & Experience
To be considered for this role, you should have:

A Degree or Diploma in Occupational Therapy or equivalent recognised qualification.
Current HCPC registration as an Occupational Therapist.
Relevant experience working within Adult Social Care.
Strong functional assessment and professional reasoning skills.
Experience identifying appropriate equipment and adaptations.
Excellent communication, assessment and organisational skills.
The ability to manage a caseload independently while working effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
