Are you highly organised with excellent attention to detail? Do you enjoy coordinating processes, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring important safety standards are met? Would you like to play a key role in supporting patient safety within a leading private healthcare environment?
KIMS Hospital is looking for a proactive and methodical Medical Devices Safety Facilitator to support the safe management of medical equipment across the hospital. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong administrative, organisational and IT skills who wants to contribute to patient safety and regulatory compliance in a healthcare setting.
Working closely with the Theatre Manager, the Medical Devices Safety Officer, and colleagues across the hospital, you will help ensure that medical devices are appropriately registered, maintained, safety-checked and ready for use. You will also act as a key point of contact for our external maintenance provider, helping to ensure that planned preventative maintenance is completed on time and that any equipment-related risks are promptly addressed.
Key Responsibilities
- Medical Device Management: Maintain an accurate and up-to-date medical device register, ensuring equipment is correctly recorded, labelled, and traceable across clinical areas and hospital sites.
- Maintenance and Servicing: Coordinate planned preventative maintenance schedules, monitor overdue servicing and safety checks, and liaise with external providers, suppliers and manufacturers to ensure equipment remains safe and compliant.
- Safety Alerts and Incidents: Review medical device safety alerts, manufacturer recalls and field safety notices, ensuring appropriate actions are completed and recorded. Support investigations into equipment-related incidents and escalate risks where necessary.
- Training and Staff Support: Help maintain records of staff training and competency relating to medical devices, providing practical guidance to clinical teams on safe equipment use, maintenance and fault reporting.
- Governance and Compliance: Support medical device policies, audits, risk assessments and reporting requirements, maintaining clear documentation and providing evidence for governance reviews and regulatory inspections.

Before your interview, take the time to research your potential new employer, finding out about their company values and what you might expect working there. Have a clear travel plan ready for the day of the interview, allowing extra time for possible delays - being punctual will allow you time to gather your thoughts and check your notes. And don’t forget to bring the appropriate ID with you.
Making a good first impression will get your interview off to a great start. It shows you are taking your application seriously and that you are diligent and conscientious. Dress smartly and make sure you are well presented. In no circumstances should you be chewing gum and your mobile phone should be switched off.
Take reassurance from knowing that your interviewer can often be as nervous as you. Be polite, honest and open, maintaining eye contact with them. Talk as clearly and confidently as you can and if you don’t understand a question, ask for clarification. When answering, focus on positive experiences and be prepared to go into detail about your previous positions and your future aspirations.
There will be opportunity for you to ask questions about the organisation and the role. Take this chance to ask about things that are important to you. Such as, what is expected of you in the first 6 months? Or, what training opportunities are there? Or, what has the interviewers experience of working for the company been like? It’s an excellent way of showing genuine interest.
It’s important to leave the interview on a positive note. If you haven’t already discussed it, you may want to ask when you can expect to hear about their final decision. When it is time to leave, smile and thank them for seeing you. Shake hands firmly and confidently, and if you have enjoyed discussing the job, tell them.
