Scheme Purpose

Our award-winning 4 year Extended Career Builder Scheme provides the foundational skills needed for a rewarding and progressive career at Ipeco, while honing core engineering abilities in a specialist sector, where you will also gain nationally recognised qualifications.

Our training schemes are unique and offer a diverse range of career paths, including CNC Machine Tool Setter/Operators, Design Engineers, Buyers, Product Quality Engineers, Manufacturing Engineers and Process Specialists, among many others. Previous participants have progressed into positions of responsibility across the Company, including supervisory, managerial and even vice-president roles.

Qualifications Gained

• L2 Performing Engineering Operation Units
• L3 Certificate in Engineering Technologies
• L3 NVQ Extended Diploma in placement related field
• L3 Personal Learning, Thinking Skills
• L2 Highfield Health and Safety
• Employee Rights and Responsibilities Qualification
• Additional placement related qualification as appropriate

Entry Requirements

• Open to applicants aged 16 or over
• An interest in engineering
• Willingness to learn new skills
• GCSE Maths and English at Grade 4 (C) or above
