You will lead the company's production and operations functions. You will make sure projects are delivered on time, on budget and to the highest standard. You will also play a central part in the company's strategic and commercial growth.

Working closely with the CEO, producers, the finance team and external partners, you will lead production planning, business operations, commissioning, funding, compliance, recruitment and organisational development.

This role suits a highly organised, commercially minded leader. You will bring extensive production management experience, strong operational skills and a real commitment to developing people, systems and creative excellence.

Key responsibilities

  • Serve on the senior management team and contribute to the strategic growth and development of Fíbín Media.
  • Develop and implement operational strategies that support the company's expanding production slate and commercial activities.
  • Set, track and report on key business measures, such as project margins, slate value, pipeline conversion and team capacity.
  • Lead the introduction and improvement of production management, scheduling and budgeting systems, including the responsible use of new technology and AI tools.

Growth and commercial development

  • Drive the development, preparation and submission of competitive pitches and proposals.
  • Identify and develop new revenue streams, including international co-productions, format and secondary sales, branded content and digital-first commissions.
  • Build relationships with broadcasters, streamers and distributors in Ireland and internationally.
  • Oversee rights and IP management, including licensing windows, distribution agreements and secondary income.

Production management

  • Develop and oversee production schedules, resources and delivery timelines across multiple productions, in conjunction with the Post Production Manager.
  • Monitor project performance and proactively address production challenges and risks.
  • Ensure all programmes meet broadcaster editorial, technical and delivery requirements.
  • Lead the day-to-day management of the Production Office and implement effective operational systems and controls.

Finance and funding

  • Oversee the preparation, management and monitoring of production budgets across all projects.
  • Work closely with the Finance team on forecasting, expenditure control and cost reporting.
  • Manage all funding applications, reporting and audit requirements, including Section 481, Screen Ireland, Coimisiún na Meán (Sound & Vision), Creative Europe MEDIA and regional funds.
  • Maintain strong relationships with funding and industry bodies, and manage all contractual obligations attached to grants, investments and funding awards.

Compliance and risk

  • Ensure productions comply with health and safety legislation, insurance requirements (including E&O), GDPR and safeguarding obligations, including those for child performers.
  • Oversee clearances for music, archive and third-party material.
  • Lead on sustainable production practices, working towards industry certification such as albert.

People and organisational development

  • Lead and manage a team of producers, providing mentoring, training and support to producers and operational staff.
  • Lead staff development and succession planning so the company has the skills it needs as it grows.
  • Lead recruitment across the business, including internship programmes with third-level colleges.
  • Oversee workforce planning, onboarding, contracts and staff time management processes.
  • Champion equality, diversity and inclusion in recruitment, crewing and on-screen representation.

About you

Essential

  • At least 7–10 years' experience in TV production management, including at senior level.
  • A proven record of delivering multiple productions at once, on time and on budget, for broadcasters or streamers.
  • Strong financial management skills, including building and managing production budgets.
  • Hands-on experience with Irish funding schemes and incentives, including Section 481 and Screen Ireland.
  • Experience leading, developing and motivating teams.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication and stakeholder management skills.

Desirable

  • Fluency in Irish
