Kitchen Assistant at Abberton Manor supports the Chef and wider team to provide high-quality, home-cooked food for residents. Working days on a rota, you'll help prepare sandwiches and snacks, assist with service, and maintain excellent kitchen cleanliness. You'll also complete key food safety checks, including recording fridge/chiller/freezer temperatures in line with Environmental Health and HACCP requirements. Knowledge of special dietary needs for older people and familiarity with IDDSI guidelines is advantageous, but training and support are available. This role suits someone warm, reliable and organised with good communication skills, who can work flexibly, use initiative and uphold high standards.
