Ready to lead a team, grow a business and make a real impact?

We're looking for an experienced, commercially driven Club Manager to take ownership of our Gymfinity Kids club in Walton-on-Thames.

If you're a confident leader who thrives on developing people, improving business performance and delivering exceptional customer experiences, this could be your next career move.

As Club Manager, you'll be responsible for the overall success of your club, from growing membership and managing financial performance to leading your team and maintaining excellent operational standards.

You don't need a background in gymnastics to succeed in this role. We're interested in experienced managers from leisure, retail, hospitality, fitness and other customer-focused environments who can demonstrate strong commercial awareness and effective people management.

This is an opportunity to lead your own club, make decisions that influence its success and play an important role in helping children become happier, healthier and more confident.

What you'll be doing

As Club Manager, you'll take ownership of your club's commercial performance, people, customer experience and day-to-day operations.

Drive commercial performance

  • Grow your business: Take ownership of membership growth, customer retention and revenue performance.
  • Manage financial performance: Monitor budgets, profitability, income and expenditure, taking action to achieve agreed targets.
  • Control costs: Manage staffing levels, payroll expenditure and operational costs to maintain an efficient and commercially successful club.
  • Identify opportunities: Develop and deliver local marketing initiatives, events and community engagement activities to attract new members.
  • Take accountability: Review performance, identify areas for improvement and implement effective action plans.

Lead and develop your team

  • Build a high-performing team: Lead, motivate and develop your Programme Manager and wider club team.
  • Manage people effectively: Take responsibility for performance management, absence, conduct, engagement and colleague development, supported by our People Team.
  • Recruit and retain great people: Ensure your club has the right people, skills and staffing levels to deliver an excellent experience.
  • Create a positive culture: Build an environment where colleagues feel supported, accountable and motivated to succeed.
  • Develop future leaders: Coach and support your Programme Manager to confidently manage day-to-day operations.

Deliver outstanding club operations

  • Own the customer experience: Ensure children and families receive a consistently high standard of service.
  • Maintain safe environments: Take responsibility for safeguarding, health and safety, risk management and operational compliance.
  • Maintain operational standards: Ensure facilities, equipment, systems and processes are managed effectively.
  • Oversee workforce planning: Ensure rotas, schedules, timesheets and payroll information are accurate and managed within agreed budgets.
  • Resolve challenges: Take ownership of complex customer or operational issues, making effective decisions and escalating when appropriate.

What we're looking for

We're looking for an experienced manager who can combine strong commercial judgement with excellent people leadership.

Essential:

  • At least 2 years' experience in a management role with responsibility for leading and developing a team.
  • Demonstrable experience of improving commercial performance, such as increasing revenue, controlling costs, improving profitability or achieving business targets.
  • Experience managing people, including performance, development and day-to-day team management.
  • Strong commercial awareness and confidence working with budgets, performance targets and operational KPIs.
  • Excellent communication, decision-making and problem-solving skills.
  • A proactive, organised and accountable approach to management.
  • Confidence managing customer relationships and resolving challenging situations.
  • The ability to motivate others and create a positive, high-performing team culture.
  • A commitment to safeguarding, health and safety and maintaining high operational standards.

Desirable, but not essential:

  • Previous experience as a Club Manager, General Manager, Store Manager, Operations Manager, Leisure Manager or Centre Manager.
  • Experience managing a leisure, fitness, sports or children's activity venue.
  • Experience managing membership-based services or customer retention.
  • Knowledge of gymnastics, parkour or children's sports activities.
  • Experience managing profit and loss, staffing budgets and local marketing initiatives.

No gymnastics or sports industry experience?

That's absolutely fine!

We're looking for someone who knows how to lead people, manage a business and deliver results. If you've successfully managed a team and improved commercial performance in another industry, we'd love to hear from you.

Why join Gymfinity Kids?

At Gymfinity Kids, we're passionate about helping children build confidence, develop new skills and enjoy being active.

Our clubs provide gymnastics, ninja and other exciting activities designed to help children thrive.

As a Club Manager, you'll have the opportunity to make a real difference, not only to the children and families attending your club, but also to the people you lead and the success of the business.

What we offer:

  • £32,500 annual salary.
  • Discretionary performance bonus of up to 10% of annual salary, subject to company discretion and applicable scheme terms.
  • The opportunity to take ownership of your own club and influence its commercial success.
  • Opportunities to develop your management and leadership skills.
  • Support from our wider Operations, People and central support teams.
  • Company pension scheme.
  • Employee and family membership discounts.
  • Staff referral programme.
  • A rewarding leadership role where you can make a genuine difference.

If you're a commercially minded manager who loves developing teams, taking ownership and delivering results, we'd love to hear from you.

Whether your experience comes from leisure, retail, hospitality, fitness or another customer-focused industry, we want to hear how you've led people and improved business performance.
