Join Our Growing Construction Team

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Buyer to join our established construction business. This is an excellent opportunity for a driven procurement professional with experience within the construction industry and working knowledge of the COINS ERP system.

The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring materials, plant, and subcontract services are procured efficiently, cost-effectively, and in line with project requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Procure materials, plant, and subcontract services in accordance with project programmes and budgets.
• Source and negotiate with suppliers to secure the best value whilst maintaining quality standards.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and subcontractors.
• Raise and manage purchase orders through the COINS system.
• Monitor supplier performance, delivery schedules, and stock levels.
• Work closely with Commercial, Estimating, and Operational teams to support project delivery.
• Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
• Ensure procurement activities comply with company procedures and contractual requirements.
• Resolve supply chain issues and manage any procurement-related risks.

About You

The ideal candidate will have:

• Previous buying or procurement experience within the construction industry.
• Strong knowledge of construction materials and supply chains.
• Experience using COINS software.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
• Good organisational and time management skills.
• Ability to build effective working relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
