Hours of Work: 45 Hours per Week

This is an exciting opportunity within our Traffic Department based at our Southampton Depot

Responsibilities:

• Learning all aspects of the traffic operators job role
• Liaising and managing with drivers and subcontractors
• Routing and planning of vehicles
• Understanding and effective management of driver hours
• Assisting traffic with outgoing communications
• Recording on in-house systems.
• Complete daily yard checks with help from mentor
• Creating VBS appointments for drivers at Southampton port
• General office duties

Essential

• Excels in a busy environment
• Ability to multitask
• To have excellent organisational and communication skills
• Good at problem solving. Judgement & decision making.
• Great attention to detail.

Desirable

• Maths and English GCSE or equivalent
• A good knowledge for Geography
• A keen learner that is looking to start a lifelong career in the Transport sector
