CNC MACHINE OPERATOR

Main function of job

We are seeking a skilled CNC Setter/Programmer/Operator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and experience in operating Siemens and Fanuc CNC controls. This role is critical in ensuring the precision and quality of components. The CNC Programmer/Setter/Operator will work closely with the workshop manager, engineers and production staff to produce high-quality parts that meet specifications.

Duties

• Multi-axis Mastercam and SolidWorks experience essential
• Program, Set and operate CNC machines (e.g., mill-turn and 5/3 axis machining centres) to produce high-quality components.
• Interpret technical drawings and engineering specifications.
• Conduct first-off inspections and in-process quality checks.
• Adjust machine settings to optimize performance and minimize downtime.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment in line with company policies.

Essential Skills

• Programming and operating DMG Mori DMU50 & CLX450 machines
• Proven experience as a CNC Programmer/Setter/Operator
• Previous experience working with Siemens and Fanuc controls
• Strong knowledge of CNC machining processes.
• Experience of manual turn and milling etc
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
• Good technical experience with inspection equipment (CMM inspection, micrometers, gauges etc).
• Good attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Flexible and team-oriented attitude.
• Advanced programming knowledge
