Trade Application Production Support Analyst : Trading & Supply

Hybrid: London, Waterloo - 3 Days + 2 Days Remote · c.£700 per day PAYE

Exciting opportunity for a Trading Application Production Support Specialist to join a world-leading Energy Trading company as part of their Front Office.

This is a hands-on role within the Derivatives team, working with fellow developers and engineers to identifity system issues and enhance the IT’s overall business potential.

Hybrid: London, Waterloo – 3 Days per Week + 2 Days Remote

Rate: c.£700 per day PAYE

Requirements:

• Minimum of 3 years experience supporting production front office trading applications.

• Understanding of Commodity Trading & Capital Markets

• Minimum of 1 years experience supporting FIX flows to exchanges or client side fix.

• Strong technical skills in scripting, Python or other programming languages

• Understanding of trading lifecycle, including order capture & execution, allocation workflow, settlement, and compliance requirements

• Familiarity with algorithmic trading technology and workflow.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data sets and propose innovative solutions.

• Knowledge of Third Party Networks and EMS/OMS software vendors. (e.g., TT, NYFIX, Bloomberg, TradingScreen)

• Experience of Algo regulation, audit and compliance & RTS6) is highly desirable

Role Overview:

As Production Support Engineer , you will be a hands-on Engineer and be a member of a small high performing, team responsible for global derviatives trading production environments. Your work will be driven both by trading teams, product teams but also engineering teams. Work includes –

• Trouble shooting and identifying the root cause of key issues in the trading environment.

• Rapid incident response to maintain continuous trading operations, turning quick fixes into robust, scalable solutions

• Proactive system monitoring and troubleshooting, owning reliability improvements and ensuring their successful delivery

• Ensure proactive management of critical end—to-end workflows, continuously improving stability and resilience through close collarabituon with delivery and infrastructure teams

• Serve as an subject matter expert for trading systems initiatives.

• Being part of the on-call rota occasionally covering US hours.
