The Opportunity

We’re working with an established and growing construction company looking to strengthen its team with the appointment of an experienced Project Planner.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established business with a growing project portfolio, playing a key role in the successful delivery of multiple projects. Working closely with site teams and project management, you’ll be responsible for developing, monitoring and maintaining programmes to ensure projects are delivered efficiently and key milestones are achieved.

The role will be predominantly site-based across multiple projects, with occasional visits to the office.

The Role

As Project Planner, you will take ownership of project programmes, working collaboratively with site and project teams to monitor progress, identify potential risks and ensure delivery remains on track.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Developing, maintaining and updating detailed project programmes across multiple projects.

  • Working closely with Project Managers, Site Managers and wider delivery teams to monitor progress against agreed schedules.

  • Identifying programme risks, delays and critical path issues, recommending solutions where required.

  • Monitoring project milestones, progress and key deliverables.

  • Producing regular planning reports and programme updates for project stakeholders.

  • Supporting short-term planning, lookahead programmes and coordination of site activities.

  • Assessing the impact of changes, delays and variations on project timelines.

  • Attending site meetings and liaising with project teams to ensure programmes remain accurate and achievable.

  • Supporting the continued growth of the business through effective planning and programme management.

About You

We’re looking for a proactive and organised Project Planner with a strong background in construction planning and the ability to manage competing priorities across multiple projects.

You’ll ideally have:

  • Previous experience in a Project Planner or Construction Planner role.

  • Experience developing and managing construction project programmes.

  • Strong knowledge of project scheduling, progress monitoring and critical path analysis.

  • The ability to communicate effectively with site teams and project stakeholders.

  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.

  • A proactive approach to identifying and resolving programme challenges.

  • The flexibility to work across multiple sites, with occasional office attendance.

Experience using industry-standard planning software, such as Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project, would be advantageous.

What’s on Offer?

  • £60,000–£65,000 salary, depending on experience.

  • Additional benefits package.

  • The opportunity to join an established and growing business.

  • Exposure to a varied portfolio of projects.

  • A predominantly site-based role with close involvement in project delivery.

  • The opportunity to make a real impact on programme performance and contribute to the continued success of the business.
