About Us

We are a well-established shipping company in Kifisia seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accountant to join our Account Department. The successful candidate will support the company's accounting operations and contribute to the efficient financial management of our maritime business.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate accounting records and general ledger entries.
• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
• Perform bank, supplier, and charterers account reconciliations.
• Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow monitoring activities.
• Prepare and submit tax, VAT (law 89, my Data), and statutory reporting requirements.
• Monitor vessel-related expenses and management company expenditures.
• Liaise with auditors, banks, tax authorities, and external service providers.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant accounting regulations.

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field.
• Minimum 4 years of accounting experience, within the shipping industry.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and shipping ERP (DANAOS) accounting software.
• Knowledge of Labor/insurance matters (EFKA, NAT)
• Good command of English, both written and spoken.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
