Buyer/Procurement Coordinator

Brightwork’s client is currently recruiting an Engineering Materials Buyer to be based in Runcorn.This is a fantastic opportunity for a decisive and organised buyer to join an established company with an impressive list of clients. Reporting to the Area Manager for Scotland, the ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong ability in the sourcing and supply across a wide range of engineering materials.Ambitious and driven with a real passion to succeed, you’ll be expected to deliver a high level of accurate, quality work. With exceptional attention to detail, you’ll have to have excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills and be comfortable collaborating with colleagues and clients.Responsibilities
Supplier negotiation and placement of purchase ordersTo expedite and ensure on time deliveryProvide complete and concise information flow from supplier through to end userResolve and manage supply discrepanciesAssist and support Area Manager as well as other administrative tasks when requiredDeliver best value for moneyRun the MRP programDeliver agreed KPI’s
Experience & Skills:
Previous experience in procurement role – desirableCommunication SkillsPrevious experience in associated disciplineSystems Knowledge - SAP, Microsoft OfficeAbility to partner with Stores PersonnelAnalytical problem solvingConsiderable Organisation skill.Knowledge of engineering parts
