Drywall & Ceiling CAD Designer

BPC Interiors are currently seeking a candidate to fill a permanent vacancy for a Drywall & Ceiling CAD Designer, with an immediate start.

The position will suit someone with some knowledge of dry lining, partitioning and suspended ceiling systems, but this is not essential. Experience with 2D CAD would help with the introduction into the role. Any experience of 3D BIM modelling would be an advantage, but not a necessity. The selected candidate would be invited to display CAD skills through examples of their work.

Key responsibilities

  • Assist in the creation of 2D and 3D CAD drawings for drywall, ceiling, and partition systems.
  • Interpret architectural plans, specifications, and design briefs to produce accurate layouts.
  • Support senior designers with design revisions, updates, and project documentation.
  • Ensure drawings comply with industry standards, manufacturer guidelines, and project requirements.
  • Maintain organised drawing files, project records, and documentation.
  • Collaborate with project managers, site teams, and suppliers to support smooth project delivery.
  • Learn and apply relevant building regulations, product systems, and installation methods.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Basic understanding of construction, engineering, or architectural principles (preferred but not essential).
  • Familiarity with CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit, or similar) is an advantage; full training provided.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication and willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work both independently and as part of a team.

What We Offer:

  • Full training and mentorship from experienced designers.
  • Opportunities to develop advanced CAD and BIM skills.
  • Career progression within the design or technical department.
  • Exposure to interesting interior fit-out and construction projects.

Package

  • Salary dependent on experience.
  • Discretionary performance-based bonus scheme, subject to company and individual performance.
  • An opportunity to share in the profits of a successful Employee Owned business

20 days annual leave with an enhanced holiday allowance in line with increasing length of service
