About the role

Detailed description of work task to be carried out

  • Design and plan desktop testing exercises aligned with Collaboration and Communication Services (CCS) objectives and regulatory expectations for banking operations.
  • Develop realistic, MVB grounded scenarios that stress-test manual recovery procedures and interdependencies across business functions.
  • Facilitate and host exercising workshops with key stakeholders across business units and support functions to validate crisis plans and identify operational gaps.
  • Manage exercise logistics and coordination, including participant engagement, timing, documentation, real-time facilitation of desktop exercising sessions, and team coordination.
  • Develop exercise material, participant guides, and facilitator notes that enable repeatable, high-quality execution of recovery exercises.
  • Track and manage action items arising from testing exercises, coordinate follow-up actions, and provide timely updates to senior leadership and programme governance.
  • Document testing outcomes, including findings, observations, gaps, and recommendations for Collaboration and Communication Services improvements.
  • Collaborate with business continuity and crisis management teams to ensure alignment between recovery plans, crisis response protocols, and business continuity strategies.

Must-have knowledge and experience

  • 3-5 years of experience in Business Continuity, Crisis Management, Operational Resilience, or related disciplines, with at least 1-2 years focused on testing, exercising or technical recovery planning.
  • Proven hands-on expertise designing and executing testing exercises, including desktop exercises.
  • Demonstrated experience in the FSI sector (banking, insurance, or equivalent), with solid understanding of how large financial organizations operate and manage technology dependencies.
  • Proven expertise in BCCM (Business Continuity and Crisis Management) frameworks, methodologies, and best practices.
  • Excellent facilitation skills: ability to engage senior leadership, manage differing perspectives, and drive productive discussions.
  • Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing priorities while maintaining focus on exercise objectives and outcomes.
