£170 to £220 per shift

OVERVIEW

ARRA Distribution Limited - An exciting and dynamic transport operation, applying our skills to the more demanding aspects of secondary distribution.

Start times varying between 03:00 – 08:00 and 15:00 – 20:00

ROLE REQUIREMENTS

• Delivery of roller caged goods safely to the customer

• Ensure daily vehicle checks are completed in line with company procedure

• Responsible for filling in the customer check sheets and report any defects to Office Team

• Responsible for keeping the depot informed of any issues during the shift

• Make deliveries to customers’ premises, acting in a professional manner at all times, and observing site rules.

• To act in a responsibly and safely responsibly on the road and customer premises at all times

• Driving in a fuel-efficient manner

• Able to move roller cages from vehicle to store, via use of a tail lift.

• Ability to work at height on double decker trailers.

• Be able to communicate well at store delivery points.

KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE

• Should have proven experience in driving articulated vehicles, have good geographic knowledge of UK roads and ability to negotiate tight routes and delivery locations.

• Hold an LGV C+E licence with an up to date CPC qualification for a minimum of 12 months

• Possess a working knowledge of EU Drivers Hours Regulations and the Road Transport Directive regulations governing working time

• Ability to work without direct supervision

• Adaptable and methodical approach to work/ training

• Excellent communication skills and a professional attitude

• Ability to work efficiently and accurately

• Must be multiskilled to cover both Store Deliveries and Trunking work depending on customer requirements.
