So, if you are looking for something more than ‘just a job’, you are in the right place. We have big company benefits, including Private Medical Insurance, Life Assurance and Pension, as well as Volunteering Days, Health & Wellbeing benefits and social activities.
If this all appeals and you have the ambition to match ours, then read on!
The Job Role
We are looking for an experienced QA Lead Engineer to join our Product Development department. This is a pivotal role in which you will take ownership of product quality across the Arcus product suite, define our long-term QA strategy and lead the transition from manual to automated testing on the Salesforce platform.
You will line manage, mentor and grow our existing team of manual testers. Initially you’ll balance leadership with hands-on testing, getting to know our product suite, user journeys and architecture in depth while you plan our automation roadmap, and then lead on delivering it.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
● Team Leadership & Management: Line managing and coaching the testing team, setting clear performance goals, balancing workloads and supporting professional growth.
● QA Strategy & Automation: Defining and delivering a QA strategy that moves the team from manual testing to a robust automated framework, including AI-driven test generation.
● Hands-on Testing: Carrying out manual regression, functional, UX and integration testing to build product knowledge and ease backlog bottlenecks.
● Automation Frameworks: Designing, building and optimising scalable automated test suites using frameworks such as Playwright and UTAM.
● Salesforce Platform Validation: Tackling the unique complexities of automated testing on Salesforce to ensure stability across managed packages and custom configurations.
● Cross-functional Collaboration: Partnering with our Implementation and Release teams to extend automation to customer upgrades and implementations, and communicating QA progress across teams.
● Documentation: Helping write and review documentation, changelogs and policy alongside the Product team.
Is this you?

● Significant experience in a senior QA role with direct line management responsibility for testing staff.

● Solid coding capabilities in object-oriented or modern script languages (e.g., JavaScript/TypeScript, Java) along with comfort handling HTML, CSS, and JSON payloads.
● Exceptional logic and system-level troubleshooting skills within interconnected cloud environments.
● Deep familiarity with agile delivery, CI/CD pipelines and tools such as Bitbucket and Jira.
● Excellent communication skills, with the ability to discuss complex matters in writing and in person with technical and non-technical audiences.
● Ability to write clear documentation for different audiences.
● Fluent written and spoken English
Desirable Requirements:
● Relevant qualifications or certifications in management, leadership and technical.
