About Us

We are not your run-of-the-mill bank.

Founded in 1922, Alpha Bank London combines the heritage and stability of a long-established financial institution with the ambition and agility of a growing organisation. As an independently regulated UK bank within the Alpha Bank Group, we provide specialist banking services to personal and corporate customers in the UK and internationally.

This is an exciting period of growth and transformation for the Bank. Alongside our established business, we are developing a new digital retail banking proposition focused on serving the Greek, Cypriot and wider diaspora communities across the UK. Backed by a strong Board, supportive shareholders and an ambitious strategy, we are investing in our future and looking for talented individuals to help shape it.

What We're Looking For

As Relationship Manager, Home Loans, you'll be the primary relationship contact for High-Net-Worth customers and approved mortgage intermediaries across our regulated residential mortgage proposition.

You'll support the end-to-end journey from initial enquiry and eligibility screening through application, completion, servicing and ongoing customer support. Working within our non-advised, execution-only model, you'll provide clear and balanced information, coordinate onboarding and prepare complete case files for independent Underwriting and Credit assessment.

You will:

  • Build trusted relationships with High-Net-Worth customers, approved brokers, wealth managers, family offices and professional introducers.
  • Explain eligibility, documentation requirements, available products, repayment options, fees and the application process clearly and accurately.
  • Operate within the Bank’s execution-only framework, maintaining a clear boundary between factual information and regulated mortgage advice.
  • Complete initial eligibility screening and gather information on income, expenditure, assets, liabilities, source of wealth, source of funds and repayment strategy.
  • Prepare complete and accurate case files and manage the live mortgage pipeline from enquiry through to completion.
  • Coordinate customer onboarding, including identification, verification, sanctions, politically exposed person and fraud controls.
  • Support broker onboarding and ongoing oversight, escalating application quality, conduct or customer-outcome concerns where required.
  • Remain the primary customer contact after completion, including for servicing requests, vulnerability needs and early signs of financial difficulty.
  • Work closely with Underwriting, Credit, Mortgage Operations, Financial Crime, Compliance, Legal and Risk.
  • Contribute to sustainable lending and portfolio growth without compromising responsible lending, credit standards, risk appetite or good customer outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate records and complete required training, competence assessments, file reviews and quality assurance activity.

What We're Looking For

We're looking for an experienced mortgage professional who can combine strong customer and intermediary relationship management with disciplined case ownership and clear regulatory judgement.

We'd love to hear from you if you have:

  • Demonstrable experience in UK regulated residential mortgage lending, ideally in private banking, specialist lending or High-Net-Worth mortgages.
  • Experience managing High-Net-Worth customers and relationships with regulated mortgage intermediaries.
  • Strong working knowledge of MCOB, responsible lending, the Consumer Duty and execution-only mortgage sales.
  • A clear understanding of the boundary between factual information and regulated mortgage advice.
  • Experience handling complex income, foreign income, investment assets, property portfolios, trusts or other non-standard circumstances.
  • Experience preparing complete mortgage case files and working with independent Underwriting and Credit teams.
  • Working knowledge of KYC, customer due diligence, source of wealth, source of funds, sanctions and politically exposed person controls.
  • Knowledge of customer vulnerability, reasonable adjustments, arrears, early support and forbearance expectations.
  • Excellent communication, organisation and pipeline-management skills, with strong attention to detail and record quality.
  • Sound judgement, confident escalation and the ability to balance commercial goals with good customer outcomes.
  • A recognised UK mortgage qualification, such as the Certificate in Mortgage Advice and Practice (CeMAP), or another qualification confirmed by the Bank as appropriate.
  • Degree-level education or equivalent relevant professional experience is desirable.
  • The successful candidate must complete role-specific induction and must not undertake unsupervised regulated activity until competence and Fit to Trade status are formally confirmed.

Why Join Us?

At Alpha Bank London, you'll have the opportunity to make a genuine impact. Our size gives you broad exposure, visibility with senior stakeholders and the chance to help shape an important customer proposition within a growing and transforming bank.

If you're looking for a role where you can build high-value customer and intermediary relationships, manage complex mortgage cases and contribute to responsible, sustainable growth, we'd love to hear from you.
