About Us;

We are Act III, we are a AAA game development studio working on an exciting unannounced project. We’re currently growing our team of developers and looking for an experienced VFX Artist to join our team.

We believe in the power of diverse talents coming together to build experiences for everyone. Currently we are laying the foundation for Act III whilst developing the pipelines and knowledge, which will support our development process for years to come.

Overview;

We’re seeking a passionate VFX Artist to join our studio. You will work collaboratively with the team to create real-time visual effects for a AAA game; from subtle environmental atmospherics to high-impact gameplay and cinematic moments.

Your work will help define visual targets and inform pipelines for effects across the project. This includes particle systems, shader-driven effects, material development, dynamic lighting support and integration into game worlds. You’ll use the latest UE5 tools, including Niagara, materials, Blueprint, as well as work in external DDC software like Houdini.

Responsibilities;

• Creating and maintaining high quality visual effects and pipelines for a AAA project

• Proactive communication and collaboration with other departments to ensure effects fit the world and gameplay

• A passion for innovation, creativity, sharing knowledge and delivery

• An understanding of balancing visual quality against optimization of systems

We’d love to see;

• A portfolio of VFX work displaying high visual and technical ability

• Understanding of VFX, material and rendering pipelines

• Knowledge of Houdini or other DCC apps for asset and texture creation
